I’m a sex worker activist, mom to two amazing kids – one in college and the other in grade school. I’m a writer. My essay Vice is featured in Soft Skull’s kick-ass anthology, Ho’s, Hookers, Callgirls and Rentboys: Sex Workers Writing on Life, Love, Work, Money and Sex. My film, I was a Teenage Prostitute has appeared in The Tribeca Film Festival, The Los Angeles International Film Festival and others, and is about, you guessed it – my stint has a teenage hooker.

A beautiful site Juliana – and it is encouraging that so many sex workers are standing up and speaking out – workers in England are getting organised too:

This is a wonderful blog. I found it through a quote on http://feminisnt.com today.
You have a clean voice and you write rationally and humanely about your subject matter. I have already tweeted some of your posts and added the RSS feed to our google-reader.
Please visit our community, collaborative blog http://sexgenderbody.com and consider cross-posting there. Your voice is an important part of this conversation.
Either way, really…great job. Keep it up and I’ll keep reading.
